How can I vectorize an offset path?

Hello,

I have a simple star-like shape that I created by using two lines and making 2 offset settings on it. I want to know if it's possible for Illustrator to create a scalable shape from it. Like when you vectorise a path or an outline. (I know it's possible to create stars directly with the shape tool, I just wanted a simple shape to illustrate what I want to make).
