How do I fill a shape created with the pen tool with placeholder text?

My goal is to select certain uniform areas on pictures and make them a text box.

And I want the text to adapt to the shape of the box, with or without distorsion, depending on the case.

Draw the shape and then click on its frame using the text tool. Then it is an area text and you cann fill it with placeholder text.

Thanks,

some tutorials say I have to click near the shape:

so that confused me.

Thanks.

You have to move the cursor over the path until the correct cursor appears, then click. It was too complicated to describe like that. Sometimes just clicking near the path will work, sometimes it won't.
