HOW DO I GET ARTBOARD TO NOT BE SIDEWAYS 2025?

I keep making a new artboard and it's turned sideways, every time. No matter what I do I can't get the thing to be right-side up. This is super annoying. Used to be you could rotate the artboard with the artboard tool, now that is not possible. If I make a new artboard on the same file using either the artboard tool or the properties panel, it's sideways. I don't get it. How do I get the artboard to not be sideways?

Perhaps your Artboard View is Rotated. You can set it to 0 degrees at the lower left of your screen, or use the Escape key.

Yes, that was the issue. Not sure how my artboard "view" got turned, as I never turn my view. Thank you so much for your help.

Good to hear that helped. If your using a trackpad you may have rotated it by accident. You can turn that off in Preferences > General: Trackpad Gesture to Rotate View
