How do I get curvature tool to show in tool palette?

I've searched everywhere on the web, for some reason the curvature tool does not show up on the tool palette next to the other pen tools.  Do I need to have something else checked off?  Did I get rid of a preference by mistake?  Please help!  Thanks so much.

    Verify you are using the latest version of illustrator.

    I don't have CC, I have Illustrator 6.  I just ran an update though, we'll see if that fixed the problem.  Thanks for replying!

    I don't believe it would be in cs6. To my knowledge, the only updating for new features is camera raw. Other than that it would be bug fixes only.

    I could be wrong, but I haven't heard anything different yet.
