How do i make this?

Hi guys,

I saw this cool shape on Daily Minimal. I'm interested to trying something similar. I really like the way the lines fan-out like that but I'm unsuccessful in trying to do it myself. Does anyone have any idea? I've messed around with blend tools or transform tool but i can't make anything close to it. Would be great if someone can help me out!

Cheers,

You could try this:

Lines rotated with Transform effect

Once with a thick and once with a thin stroke

Make multiple copies of the circles.

Create a compound path of the lower 2 circles

Use it as a clipping mask for the thin lines.

Create a compound path of the 2 upper circles.

Use it as a clipping mask for the thick lines.

Hi, raphical.

I would make it with 3D tool.

  1. Draw the shape shown below and make it a symbol.
  2. Draw a circle.
  3. Make a solid by 3D extrusion.
  4. Set the above symbol in the mapping. (Set not to display the structure.)

But it's difficult to adjust.

thank you! i tried this but yes it was still quite difficult for me. but I did learn some new things about the 3d tool though so thanks!

Could be as easy as a blend with a custom circular path for spine or a pattern brush....
