On the image you can see my finger pointing to the anchor point taht i want to start a new line from but it wont let me get away from the end of the path. So frustrating... Ive been watching tutorials on youtube and i think ive mossed it somewhere. Ive tried double clicking... alt click... command click. I dont want to start a new path and connect them as that just adds time!

🙂

Thank you

Daniel,

With Smart Guides being your friends, what happens if you start by Clicking and holding outside the snapping distance form the Anchor Point, then press the Spacebar and ClickDrag to snap, then ClickDrag as desired?

The curvature tool will always activate an existing path when you click on it.

The next thing is: you can of course start a path in that same place, but you cannot connect it to an existing path. Y-connections are not allowed in bézier paths.

You're welcome.

What you can do is turn on smart guides and then with the selection tool align one path by dragging it by one point: https://youtu.be/veULBzu-Xt0
