Question

How do I wrap a label on a bottle, front on view?

I'm trying to make a label appear to wrap around a bottle from a front on view, like looking at it square on from the front. None of the Warp options seem to do it (please correct me if I'm wrong). I've tried Envelope Distort using Make with Mesh, single row, multiple columns, adjusting accordingly, but the words on the label look distorted. I'm thinking there surely must be an easy way to do this in Illustrator. Does anybody know?

I have had good luck turning a label into a symbol then applying it on a 3D effect of the bottle.

Check out YouTube and search for “adobe illustrator applying symbol to 3d bottle” for a number of tutorials.

Thank you Dave, I’ll check it out. (Here’s hoping I can get my head around it). Cheers.
