So this one has a combination of two answers provided above. That's the reason I thought to summarize it so that there's no confusion. First thing is to install the correct version of the apps (ID, AI) and Ton's reply will help you get that achieved. Once you have the correct version installed, please follow Zaid's suggestion to get the things going. You should find those tools (paragraph, styles, write directions) once you have the correct version of app installed. Hope this explains the process.
