How-To Access Symbol Library

Way back when, there used to be a bunch of shapes that you could grab, just like you do with the rectangle or sphere.  Where did that go?

The picture below is of one of the things Monika is talking about, the symbol libraries that you can open from the bottom of the Window menu. These have not changed in many years. Is this what you’re looking for?

Is your tool set to Advanced?

Window > Toolbars > Advanced

It wasn't.  I hadn't realized that was a thing now.  Thank you for that.  But I'm still not seeing the extra shapes.  I feel like there was like a thick arrow, and some basic frames.  It's not something that I ever used often, but once in a blue moon that was a handy thing.  Did it get dropped?

Illustrator always only had the shapes you are seeing now.

Some arrows are in the Symbols libraries, frames are in the Brushes libraries. Available via the respective panels.
