How to apply shadow effect

Hi communities,

I have seen in some guides that you can apply the shadow effect to an object using Photoshop effects.

The procedure should be "Effect -> Stylization -> Outer Shadow". But when I try on my Illustrator I don't see this option but I only see the "Bright edges" option.

Can anyone help me?

    It's not one of the Photoshop effects. Can you not see this under the effect menu?
