How to change the color of a piece of artwork

I am trying to change the color of a piece of art.  Right now it is black and i want to change the color to green.  I have it in several forms, jpeg, tiff, png.  How can I change the color of this logo.  Thanks,

You can't. At least not in a simple fashion. Illustrator is not a pixel editing program. You would have to trace the artwork and then fill the resulting areas. If that's not an option use Photoshop.
