I have an image in an AI file.

I would like to save this image as a 50 pixel high image (I don't care about its width).

How do I do this?

Set your units to Pixels (or Points) and scale the image to 50 pixels high.

Export as png with 72 ppi resolution.

File > Export > Save for web

If your artboard is larger than the artwork, uncheck "Use artboards"

    Enter the size you like

Is this image the whole illustrator page, completely filling your design? What size is it in inches/cm?
