  1. Hello All,

I am an artist and need to make dotted templates for my artwork. However I end up manually counting the dots which is extremely tedious in large artworks.

Please help!

Is it possible to count the dots in a dotted stroke?

Or create a stroke with a specific number of dots?

Will really appreciate any help with this.

Make a copy of your dotted strokes and select them. Go to Object > Path > Outline Stroke.

Select the outlined strokes and open the Document Info palette (see Window menu).

In the Document Info palette flyout menu turn on the Objects option as well as the Selection Only option.

Now the Paths entry in the palette will show you the number of dots (objects).

Can information be helpful on the "Object" tab of the Document Info panel for point numbers?
