Using the pencil tool... I want to draw and connect straight lines that are NOT 45 or 90 degrees... How can I do that?

I want to draw lines kind of as in a stock market chart with the lines going up and down..

If you have to use the Pencil tool for some reason, you can just hold down the Alt key while drawing with it to create straight (connected) lines.
