How to create seamless gradients without having any banding applied

Question

Hello, awesome community! I would like to know if there is a workaround to prevent gradient banding from occurring in Illustrator. I should mention, that this isn't always the case. Some gradients blend smoothly while others show a bunch of lines or steps between the transition of colours.

Is there a way to avoid this?

Maybe.

It would certainly be helpful if you could share a sample Illustrator file with some of the unwanted gradients. You can also include some other gradients that looks good to you and add some instructions, so one can have a closer look.

Also, tell a bit about your machine, its graphic card etc.
