How to cut text from text

Is it possible to cut text that is on top of another text? I want to be able to remove the black cursive that is directly on top of the blue font. Thank you.

For cutting the text below, follow the steps by converting them as Objects and Applying Pathfinder.

You will not be able to edit the text later, hence make sure you have the final content of text set before you convert them to object.
