Hi to all!
I have strange problem. After updating to MacOS Ventura 13.4 window with missing fonts in Illustrator don't update. If I open project where using unknown fonts I see window with list of unknown fonts - Ok. But when I find and installed this fonts to OS, window of missing fonts in illustrator don't update and displaying what no fonts. I must close Illustrator and open again. Open project and all fonts already.

So my question - how I can turn on auto updade data in window of missing fonts? Before on OS Monterey when I add one of few missing fonts I see auto update in window. And I can't need relaunch illustrator.

Thanks in advance!

Hi @Adamantov,

We are sorry for the delayed response. It seems like you're experiencing an issue with Adobe Illustrator not updating the list of missing fonts in real time after you've installed the required fonts. To address this problem, you can try the following steps:

  • First, ensure that you have the latest version of Adobe Illustrator, i.e., v27.8.1. You mentioned using version 27.5, but newer updates may have addressed this issue.

  • In some cases, the Font Activation Manager can help resolve font-related issues. You can access it through the Adobe Creative Cloud app. Go to the Creative Cloud app, click on the gear icon (Settings), and choose 'Manage Fonts.' Ensure that all required fonts are activated. However, if you are installing third-party fonts manually, then you might need to reopen Illustrator to reflect it.

  • Sometimes, font cache issues can cause problems. (https://helpx.adobe.com/fonts/kb/troubleshoot-fonts-illustrator-indesign.html#:~:text=plugins%C2%A0folder.-,Clear%20the%20system%20font%20cache,-Terminal)

  • Sometimes, issues like this can be tied to preferences. Please try resetting Adobe Illustrator preferences.

Please note that this will reset all your preferences in Illustrator, so make sure to back up any custom settings if needed.

These steps should help address the issue of Illustrator not updating the list of missing fonts in real time.

Let us know if this helps!

Best,
