how to expand stroke which is used as a clipping mask with brush strokes inside

hey guys,

I have a stroke which I used as a clipping mask to draw inside with a brush. Now I want to expand the stroke so I can scale the illustration, however, when expanding the drawing inside gets into the stroke which I expanded.

How can I solve this?

In case you want to expand just the grey stroked path without getting a compound clipping path, you may instead use the Flatten Transparency command with the Outline Strokes option turned on.

So you want to expand the mask? Or the strokes inside the mask?

If the latter: you can open the layers panel and then select them inside the layer and then expand them (if they are brush strokes, expand appearance)

hey, danke für die antwort, das habe ich verstanden, aber wenn du jetzt bei deinem video wo du die ellipse als beschnittmaske quasi angelegt hast umwandeln möchtest, klappt es dann? Bei mir rutschen die pinsel striche in die äußere kontur

Wenn man die Kontur der Maske umwandelt, dann ist das logisch, dass die maskierten Stricher hinterher in der "Kontur" sind. Das geht gar nicht anders.
