How to get rid of white dotted line around paths/objects?

I'm new to Illustrator, so forgive me - this is likely an easy fix that I'm just not seeing!

I'm attempting to create a small logo for myself but whenever I create a new path or object (ellipse, rectangle, etc.) there is a white dotted line, almost like a separation between the item and the white background.

The 'Z' path was made with a pen tool and it looks worse, but you can see it between the fill and stroke of the ellipse behind it as well. Appreciate any help!

Are you going to print it?

Thanks for the help! That seems to do the trick in CPU Preview

However, when I switch over to GPU Preview, there's still a bit of an outline:

Is that just because of my weak computer/monitor?

THat happens because of antialiasing and thecolor black 100% is specificallyaffected by it. It doesn't atter for printing. Ad when exporting that for RGB, you will most probably use RGB 000 anyway and then you're not affected either.
