how to import and manage a sketch design

Hello,In Illustrator, is it possible to import a hand drawn sketch, vectorize it and modify its content : by example if I have made a line at the bad dimension on my hand drawn sketch, can I extend this line to the good dimension in Illustrator ?

When you Image Trace a sketch, then usually everything in it is connected. Also most probably you will have everything outlined, because tracing as strokes will not give you a good result. So editing is close to impossible.

You might want to show your sketch and explain exactly what you want to do in it in order to get more precise advise
