Question

How to Import PNGs back into Illustrator?

Hello Everyone!

I am having issues with my files. I have created a logo and exported it as a PNG to be used as a logo on another design I am working on.

When I import the PNG, the logo shows a white bounding box with it when its over my designs, but does not show it when its just over the transparency grid.

The PNG is transparent and does not have anything behind it. I have attached a screenshot to show what I am talking about.

Does changing the Preview make a difference?

Cmd or Ctrl E

But if you have the vector version that you used for exporting it is better if you copy and paste it into Illustrator.

Preview just converts to outlines, but still the same.

I only import using the "PLACE" feature, so it is not a copy and paste. I have tried with an WebP and PNG and cant get it to work?

View should give a choice switching between View usinG CPU and View using GPU

Do you have a vector version of that png?
