How to manipulate just one line of text

Ok. Real newbie question here. I'm making a Logo. I have the text on 2 lines. I have managed to change the font for the text on the top line, but I also want to move it around and possibly arc it. The problem is when I make changes to it, the word underneath is also affected. Where am I going wrong here?

If you want to arc it, you will need two text objects, not just one.

Please show us a screenshot that includes the layers panel. Layer needs to be opened.

You need to create Point Text for each "text object" not Area Text for manipulating separately.

Please refer to reference that Monica mention for you.
