How to paste object with clipping mask into center of artboard?

Anyone know a workaround to paste object with clipping mask in the center of artboard that is not symmetrical inside clipping mask. Whenever I paste the center of entire object is used and not center of clipping mask.

juicem,

One simple way would be to create a nostroke/nofill path large that is centred on the Clipping Path and large enough to extend past the clipped artwork, and group it with the mask. You can create it directly from the Clipping Path using Object>Scale (uniformly) or Object>Path>Offset Path or in the Transform palette (with the centre reference Point chosen multiply the W or H and click Ctrl/Cmd+Enter) with a sufficiently high value.
