Question

How to recreate this recent crop circle effect?

Hi there community,

Let me start by saying that I am not here to discuss who has made this one, but I find it intrigueing with its geometries. It seems to be made up of 17 hexagons that are slightly turning as each new hexagon is smaller than the previous. There must be a way to automate this and not draw each hexagon by itself (as I did). Tranformt tool couldn recreate the spin of the hexagons when I tried.

It might look simple but the more I study it the more fine detail and finesse I find. Notice the fine details for example that in the spiral the hexagons are shaped as triangles, when I recreated it some became more four sided.

There is reportedly a zigzag pattern around it that I recreated as well.

This crop circle showed up 2nd july this year at Avebury.

Feedback and how to automate this for more precise result is more than welcomed 🙂
