How to save a white logo?

I have just created a Logo which has a lot of white in it, I am unsure how to save it in order for our sign writer to be able to open the file on their computer without it looking like its just missing half of the logo because the white has blended into the background ?

    So, you need White as one of the colors printed, correct?  Many sign shops have printers that can print White.  But, you have to specify it as a spot color and how you want it printed.  This most definitely requires a conversation with someone who knows prepress at the sign shop.  Ask them how they want the White prepared in the file and what their file requirements are ( typically based on the RIP they use ).

    In addition to what Theresa said, depending on application you can both see the white; you can use View>Show Transparency Grid, you can toggle with Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+D.

    How is the sign going to be produced? What file type does the sign writer want?

    It shouldn't matter that the white is not visible as long as you are providing a vector file. Your sign writer will be able to work with the shapes. It's best to have a conversation with them before you send off the file.
