How to save files for the automatical backup in illuatrator

Hey guys,

i'm having a hard time in saving my works, i always forget to do it.

I found the way to save files automatrically, the oonly thing i dont understand is where, because every time i choose a folder it says that it's impossible.

How do i do it?

    OK, first of all: you have to train yourself. There is no automatic backup that will reliably save. They all depend on your computer and Illustrator working. Which will fail with any kind of power outage.

    So: do something about it. Save your files. Save different versions. Save on multiple olumes.

     

    On top of that you can turn on everything you have. Turn on the recovery function. Turn on your Time Machine (if it's not a Mac, get something similar). Get the free plugin Autosaviour, which saves AI files.

     

    The recovery function will only kick in when Illustrator crashes.
