How to shape anchor points of textbox

I saw a video where the designer somehow moved an individual anchor point of a textbox. The only thing he said is that he used the direct selection tool. I've been trying to repeat this but I just can't do it.

Does anyone know how to do this?

Do you have area text or point text? This will only work with area text.

Do you have area text or point text? This will only work with area text.

You should be able to do it with the Direct Selection tool (white arrow).

Make sure to only select the point that is going to be moved.
