How to understand objects (vectors and embedded images) size in ai file?

I have very large ai file and need to reduce the size. Is there any ways to understand size of each object (and group of objects) in ai file?

Even for embedded files (objects) I can't lookup size, it displays only for linked files, for embedded files all info table is empty.

I know, but try to find the way for understand size of each object. Eg, I have large group of vector objects, and want to determine how much size it use in my file? Is this possible?

A crude way would be to see the file sizes with and (in a copy) without.
