How to understand setting options in the Print Dialog box?

The Print Dialog Box in Illustrator:

I need help understanding the setting for these options:
Copies (  )  Although I do understand this setting tells my printer: How many copies of a file I want.

Reverse Order (  )  Now this confuses me expecially when I have more than one artboard and I want to see the artboard I want to print in the thumbnail image in the dialog box.

Artboards All (  ) and Range (  ) I understand these options somewhat, but when I use the option of Reverse Order that's when I get confused.

Can you explain using examples when using two or more artboards?

Thanks

Thank you for your assistance.
In your example of Reverse, are you meaning: Say I have 17 artboards, then it prints 17, 16, 15, 14, ... , 2, 1 ?
Re: Range: If I have 10 artboards and I set Range to: 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 then it will only print those artboards in that order as 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 ?
Re: Sort: Are you trying to say, if I set the Range as above and I want 5 copies, then the printer will give me five sets of each range as above ?

That's how this is supposed to work, yes.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

Copies does what you already suggest.

Reverse order prints the last specified artboard first, e.g. you have 17 artboards, then #a7 comes out of the printer first.

In "Range" you can specify which artboards you want printed. Maybe only #3 to #7

All of this plus the "Sort" option is meant for making it easier to get a "booklet" out of the printer, ready to be stapled. E.g. you want 5 copies of your 20 artboards file, then you can print it in a way that after printing you can just take out 5 stcks of paper and do not have to sort them manually. Only thing that is missing here for a real booklet is the inability to do imposition in Illustrator.
