Hi! I noticed a multitude of fonts available on illustrator, is there a way I can import the fonts so I can use them by typing on my keyboard and not as smart objects?

Adobe Stock doesn't offer fonts.

Everything that looks like letters, are just shapes. You have to make them into a font with appropriate software, such as the plugin Fontself Maker, Birdfont, Glyphs, FontForge etc.

For some of the offered shapes this might not even be possible or appropriate (be careful with colored fonts, not every print vendor can handle them).

Making a font is not just throwing the shapes into the file, but afterwards also adjusting the negative space. It's quite laborious. If you still want to do it, here's a tutorial for FontSelf: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZUm1Rpa9uVo
