How to use the available colors with the new SVG fonts

I really like the new SVG fonts but how do I easily use the different colors? I found all of the options available in Type > Glyphs, but I'm not about to type out something one letter at a time by double clicking each letter. How can I quickly change the entire text in one click?

This needs to be done in the font, not in Illustrator.

They can be used as a live font. In the colours made for it. No I don’t see the point of it either. What Designer will want to do that with these fonts? This overselling could kill a valuable innovation dead.

You may also consider to put your (live) type into an opacity mask.

That way, a lot of colour variations can be done in one whack.

So the font you're using has differently colored glyphs as alternatives?

Unless those are bundled into a stylistic alternative that you can then select in the OpenType panel, there's no way to access them quickly.

Yeah, it's Trajan Color I'm looking at. When I bring up the glyphs menu I can see all the options available for the font as far as the different color options, but I can't find a way to change the line on the fly. Seems like half-measures to me. Adobe, can you add this as a feature to a future build?
