Question

How would you do architecture bossage pattern ?

Hello,

I am trying to make this architecture pattern using illustrator.

I feel like there is something to do with "Offset Path" function but not quite sure.

Isn't there a more automated, proportion realistic way to do this ?

You can doubleclick the pattern swatch in the swatches panel to go into Pattern editing mode, make changes and save a copy.

But if you really want it less repetitive, create a graphic style from multiple strokes in the Appearance panel and start drawing with that style.

How would you turn Swatches into path though so that I can customize more and ease down the repetitive feeling ?

I tried doing "Extend appearance" but still, I don't have the control over each strip.

You can try the Appearance panel.

Add another smaller stroke above your stroke and give it a lighter color.

Save as a Graphic Style.
