Question

i can't move a picture in a picture frame in illustrator

Hi
I have an ongoing challenge in AI.
The example is that i have two picture frames beside each other containing a picture and a color layer. They are identical (copy pasted). I can move both the pictures and the color layers within the frame just fine. I then relink the picture in one of the picture frames (since you dont need to identicle frames) and when the new picture is linked / visible it is "locked" so that i can move it, like in the picture frame beside it. It does not matter if the picture is jpg, png or other.
Can anyone please help me out here, this is super frustrating.

Can you locate / select the picture in the Layers panel? Can you show the Appearance panel with the picture selected?

Hi Ton

I am not familiar with the layer panel, which is 200 miles long in this doc.

I can find it in the link panel....

I just tried to copy the picture box / frame and insert it in another file, where the issue disappeared....

When you have the image selected, you can click the magnifying glass in the Layers panel to locate the laye.

Also show the Apperance panel.
