Are you trying to open rather than place photos? Normally you will place a photo in an Illustrator design, where you can choose to link, embedd and/or make it a template. If you open an photo you will not have your default colour swatches, and you will have an RGB document rather than CMYK (CMYK is necessary if you need to see your separation preview).

When you say you have problems with Photos are we talking any photo, could you specify pixel resolution / file size. Note that Camera raw is not supported… it may be an idea to prepare the photo for your illustrator design since illustrator does not have pixel editing features.

How much memory do you have in your computer?

How large would the uncompressed be that you try to open?

There is 250 gb of free memory, I try to open the photo as png or jpg, it does not open, the same happens in different photos, it gives this warning and the photo appears transparent on the screen. my photos are uncompressed only 10 kb

Hi @Beyza265338705qud, what have you tried already? Some ideas are:

• have you restarted computer and tried again?

• have you tried opening other photos, does every photo cause the same error?

• can you "place" the photos into a blank Illustrator document?

It would be good to share a screen shot of the error message, too.

hello, I restarted my m1b computer, I drag and drop the photos or I open them directly, I am facing the same problem in both. I was using the cs5 version of adobe before, when I encountered this problem, I upgraded to the new version, but the same problem continues

Can you please try turning off View using CPU (View Menu)? And test again. I wonder if Illustrator is not able to display the image, and it can perhaps open it okay. Just an idea.
