I cant place or drag an png image

Hi, i just installed and working with illustrator 25.4.8, previously i use illustrator cs 6 (still in my macbook).

I got an issue with it, i can't place or drag an png image, it says:

Illustrator cant read the file "file name.png".

Try replacing this with another valid link.

But the jpeg image is normal.

Anyone knows what happen here?
