So the already saved file cannot be opened?

Use your backup file. You have a backup, right?

If you do not have a backup, then the first step is now come up with a backup strategy and then always make backups of your files.

If the file can not be opened anymore, then probably Illustrator crashed while saving.

If you have just lost the recent changes, then nothing can be done about that if Illustrator wasn't able to save or read the recovery file.

If the file is still there and cannot be opened, then the Illustrator team can try if they can recover something. But that might or might not work.
