I get dotted / streaky lines

I always get dotted / streaky lines in my drwaing, not the shareped edges. How do i sort it out ?

There are two most likely scenarios:

1. GPU performance is causing a visual bug.

2. There is some kind of brush applied to the path.

For the first, go to View > Preview on CPU. Does toggling that make a difference?

For the second, look in the appearance panel with the path selected. What do you see there?
