I have Illustrator issues

I am currently running Illustrator 24.1.2 and the home screen has changed on me mysteriously. Used to be when I opened the program I'd get an intro page with my last/most recent work and 'open new', 'open'. A learning window would also pop up. Now I'm just getting a black screen on start-up. Any ideas why this is suddenly happening? Thanks
