Hello @fatma rabia31888439lahc,

I understand that you've been experiencing issues with Adobe Illustrator Beta and your AI files. It seems that when you initially installed the beta version, your AI files were associated with it, but they were still opening in the regular Illustrator program. Deleting the beta version caused further complications, and now you're facing trouble opening your files.

Here are a few steps you can try to resolve this issue:

  • As Monika said, it sounds like the file association might be causing the problem. To reset it, you can try the following steps:

    • Right-click on one of your AI files.
    • Choose "Open with" and select the regular Adobe Illustrator application, not the Beta.
    • Check the box that says "Always open with this app."
  • Uninstall the Beta using the Creative Cloud desktop app if you're no longer interested in using the beta version.

  • If your files are still not opening correctly, you can try restoring the default program associations for AI files:

    • On Windows: Go to Control Panel > Default Programs > Set Associations. Find the .ai extension and set it to open with the regular Illustrator program.
    • On macOS: Right-click on a .ai file, select "Get Info," and under "Open with," choose the regular Illustrator application. Click "Change All" to apply this change to all AI files.
  • If the above steps don't work, you might need to reinstall the regular Illustrator program to ensure proper file associations.

I hope these suggestions help in finding a resolution for the issue you're facing. Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns.

Best,

Anshul Saini

You need to change the file association in your system.
