Illustrator 2017.0.2 crashing

Takes forever to do anything even saving a small eps file.  Crashes the program.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled with no relief.  Last time this happened, Illustrator caused a format issue on my comp hard drive.  What gives?

    Hi ericbnpusa,

    If I get the issue correctly, your Illustrator is crashing while working with EPS files? Where do you save the files? I mean are they saved locally or on a network drive? Does it happens with specific file or all of them? Would you mind sharing your workflow so that we can try to find the cause of the crash?
