Illustrator 2018 slow

Hi,

I used Illustrator 2018 and it's a nightmare.

Its very very slow and I have kernel task all the time.

When I opened a file, when I recorded a file.

Each action is slow, slow and kernel task....

Please help me

iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2017)

processeur: 3,8 GHz Intel Core i5

memory: 16 Go 2400 MHz DDR4

graphic: Radeon Pro 580 8192 Mo

If you used the option to keep your previous preferences when you installed CC 2018 then that could be at least part of your problem. Slow performance has been reported for many who used that option. I've also been experiencing dramatic speed issues since installing Illustrator CC 2018. Mostly when selecting type. The beachball would spin for about a minute (or three) then allow me to make one input (nudge kerning perhaps) then 2-3 more minutes of spinning.

I have since deleted my preference files as instructed above and that seems to have fixed my problem. Thank you.
