Illustrator 2019 - Workspaces resetting automatically

I have some custom workspaces I have created for various takes. However it seems that when I select certain tools (Choose a new colour), my workspaces "reset".

I am using two monitors, with my document in one screen (my right screen), and my windows/palettes/tools in the other (my left screen). It looks like what happens is that my windows/palettes/tools jump to my right screen - over top my document. I can "Reset" the work space and it goes back, but its super annoying. Why wont it just stay anchored to my left monitor?

Thank you

M

Hi Michael,

We are sorry to hear about this. I would request if you can share a few more details like:

  • OS(Exact version of Windows/MAC)
  • Exact version of Illustrator(update application in case you are not on 23.0.2).
  • Have you tried resetting preferences? If not, please do reset Illustrator preferences(How to set preferences in Illustrator ). Resetting preferences will remove all the custom settings(including workspace) and Illustrator will launch with default settings. You can also take a backup of the folders in case you want to. Location is mentioned in the article.

Regards,

Srishti

Apologies for the delay.

Running on a Windows 7 machine

Illustrator CC 23.0.2 (64-bit)

I have tried resetting my preferences, but it didn't seem to do anything.

Thank you,

M
