Illustrator 2020 changes

Hello.

 

Can anyone tell me why a .aip plugin that has worked in every version of Illustrator CC since 2014 now no longer works in CC 2020? It comes up with an  'Error loading plugins' message. Any help would be much appreciated. What change was made to CC 2020

Are you the developer of this plugin? Then you should apply for the Illustrator Prerelease program in order to learn about changes in time.

Or are you a user of the plugin? Then you should contact the developer. They need to update.

Hi Monika,

 

Thank you for the reply. I am the owner of the plugin, but I am not a developer. The person I had used for this is no longer able to make updates and I do not understand enough about this. Are you able to point me in the right direction as to what specifically changed so that I can pass that along to a new developer (which I still need to find)  to save alot of time?

You need to find a developer and they need to dice into the documentation. Better find a developer who has experience writing Illustrator plugins.
