Hello. I have Illustrator 2021 installed on my Windows laptop and it keeps crashing my computer every time I use it. I installed an older version of Illustrator (24.3) and it's still happening. Please help!

Hi there,

Sorry about the delay. I am hopeful that the issue was fixed. If not, please try the suggestions shard on this page (https://community.adobe.com/t5/illustrator/how-to-fix-a-crash-and-recover-documents-in-illustrator/t...) and let us know how it goes.

Feel free to let us know if you still need assistance. We'd be happy to help.

Regards,

Srishti

Hi, we need more information to help you. What are the features of your computer? Have you tried uninstalling the software using the Creative Cloud Cleaner tool? This way, in addition to uninstalling Adobe Illustrtor, any corrupt files will also be deleted.

Thanks for replying and providing that cleaner tool. I ran that and unfortunately that didn't work. Illustrator is still freezing up my computer, as is Photoshop. I'm assuming it's something on my laptop. I'm running Windows 10 64 bit, 16 GB RAM, Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8565U CPU @ 1.80GHz, 1992 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s), 1 TB hard drive (with plenty of available space), and Intel(R) UHD Graphics 620.

To my knowledge, everything is up to date. Please let me know what other information I can provide to help figure this out. Is there a crash file I can show? If so, where can I find that?

Thanks!

Without exact system info and ideally the details from the crash log/ event viewer nobody can even guess. the usual troubleshooting applies: Update your system's graphics driver, make sure your network stuff works and you run with adequate user permissions.
