Illustrator 2021 crashing while saving the files on macOS

Question

I have a brand-new iMac with a brand-new installation of Illustrator. I can get it to open, but it crashes when I try to save. All my fonts have been validated. In fact, I haven't even installed any fonts of my own yet because I've been too busy trying to troubleshoot my inability to get a job done in Illustrator. I hate to be That Person, but this is ridiculous. I pay a lot of money for a subscription service that is an industry standard, and I can't actually accomplish anything in it. The amount of lost work and lost time is astounding.

Memory: 16 GB 2133 MHz DDR4
Graphics: Intel Iris Plus Graphics 640 1536 MB

Share crash logs by following these steps: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/illustrator/kb/crash-next-steps.html
While submitting the crash report please use the same email address, with which you are signed in on this community. This will help us find the crash report and help accordingly.
Is the issue related to a specific document? If yes, could you please share the document with us? You can upload it to the Creative Cloud (https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/share.html) and share the download link.
Where are the files saved (Network Drive/ System HDD/ Shared Folder on System /External HDD)?
Does resetting Illustrator Preferences (https://helpx.adobe.com/in/illustrator/using/setting-preferences.html) help to resolve the issue?
Please note that all the custom settings would reset too. You can also take a backup of the folders in case you want to. Location is mentioned in the article.

Same problem on mutliple imacs in school computer lab. out of 30, maybe 10 upon trying to save, will crash and we have to force quit and lose changes.Catalina, imac 2017 retina 5k, 27 inch.
