Illustrator 2021 won't open in Catalina or Big Sur

I recently installed Illustrator 2021 and it wont get past initialising, just hangs and the spinny wheel goes on and on. Have to force quit. It wouldn't open running Catalina and now won't open running Big Sur either. I can still open 2020 version so not all doom n gloom... Anyone having similar issues?

Thanks Monika, seems all sorted now. Old Suitcase Fusion and Wacom tablet drivers were casuing an issue and also needed to add some '.old' suffixes to Illsutrator Prefs. Fingers crossed.

Does it work when you disconnect from the internet?

Hi Monika, no it doesn't. It tries to run diagnostics but just hangs. It began when I installed Illustrator 2021 running Catalina and worked once after a restart. Since I've now upgraded to Big Sur it hasn't got past Initialising stage.
