Illustrator 2024 version 28.1 running on macOS Sonoma 14.2.1 Apple M1 woes

In Illustrator when I warp text and then go back to adust, Illustrator crashes. When I'm trying to change color modes of a color Illustrator crashes. Even when I try to export a pdf and try to change the values in the dialog box Illustrator crashes - beyond frustrating - I even went back to Illustrato 2023 and it's not crashes "as often" but still crashing - anyone know of any fixes??

P.S. Everything is fully up to dae.
