Illustrator 2025 crashes on text wrap

Question

Illustrator 2025 suddenly crashes every time I attempt to add text wrap to a graphic placed there.  Have tried with different images.  Have restarted.  When it freezes with "not responding" I don't get the option to send a report with diagnostics, so here is this post.  Windows 11.

Thanks for reporting this, and I totally get how disruptive it is when Illustrator freezes like that. Since you mentioned the crash happens every time you try to add text wrap, even after restarting and trying with different images, could you let me know if this happens with all files or just a specific one? Also, it would be really helpful if you could share a small screen recording of the workflow so I can get a clearer sense of what's triggering the issue.

I understand the crash prevents you from sending the report through the crash dialog. If you haven't already, please try updating your GPU drivers and make sure Illustrator is up to date. In some cases, turning off GPU Performance from Preferences > Performance has helped avoid similar crashes temporarily. Moreover, please test the issue in safe mode and in new admin user account to rule out system-specific and user-specific issues.
