Illustrator 2025 crashes when I try to send to Cutting Master 5

Ive recently installed Cutting Master 5 and tried using it for the first time. I can't find any resources or help as to why the newest version of Illustrator locks up when I try to send a file to Cutting Master 5. All programs are up to date.

 

Any ideas?

I have found using Illustratrator 2025 I can send file to Cutting Master 5 and will send to plotter, but I have to quit Cutting Master 5 before going back to Illustrator or it will lock up Illustrator and I have to do a force quit. But if I Quit Cutting Master 5 it's fine.

You might have to check with Graphtec to see if they have an update for Cutting Master 5 for Illustrator. The original build of it was not compatible with Illustrator 2025:

It is possible to have more than one installation of Illustrator loaded onto a computer. You may have to install Illustrator 2024 alongside the 2025 version and have Cutting Master 5 run via the older build of Illustrator unless Graphtec has a proper update available.

Thanks for the tip. Ive installed AI 2024 and now it doesnt recognize CM5. I attempted to add the plug in through Settings > Plugins and Scratch Disks but I cant select anything through that. Any other ideas? I had closed all other programs before starting AI 2024. I also tried having CM5 open prior to opening AI 2024 and it still wont show in the file menu.

Could you try removing and then reinstalling your plugin (https://adobe.ly/42epMG4) to see if it then shows up in Illustrator 2024?
