Question

Illustrator 2025 not responding all the time

I have a Intel Ultra 9 & 5070ti and yet my illustrator runs like i'm working on a laptop of 15 years old. Whatever I do brings illustrator in the (not responding) state and I have tried some of the advised solutions on internet but nothing seems to work. I have updated it and the latest version is installed.

@greta_7039 It might be a conflict between the application and the GPU drivers? Since you did try troubleshooting, rady for a few more?

Do a clean re-installation of your NVIDIA drivers. Use the NVIDIA Clean Install (https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/forums/geforce-graphics-cards/5/139267/clean-installation-of-nvidia-graphics-drivers/) option to completely remove old driver files before installing the latest and 'fresh' download version. If needed, you could change Illustrator's graphics preference in Windows to use your high-performance NVIDIA processor instead of integrated graphics. To do this, go to Windows Graphics Settings, select Illustrator, and set it to "High performance."

Of course, you could go into Illustrator Preferences, and Disable GPU Performance. While this might seem counterintuitive for a powerful system like yours but, it forces Illustrator to rely on your CPU, which can bypass the GPU driver conflict. Because if you have uinstalled and re-installed, maybe there is a corrupted installer? Use the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to perform a thorough uninstallation before reinstalling Illustrator 2025.
